Welcome to a selection of my Barn Owl images, every one is of a wild bird that I have been luckily enough to have encountered whilst conducting my surveys. Some encounters are opportunistic whilst the majority take many hours to capture.
I hope you enjoy!

These are some of the nicest clear in flight images I have seen. Great job.
ReplyDeleteSome fantastic photo'a here!
ReplyDeleteHi Paul, I drove up past Arnesby and Shearsby from Wigston looking the other night, it looks perfect land for tyto alba's, but seemingly they aren't as prevalent in my home county as where I live now. Here in Buckinghamshire there are far more barn owls and it isn't hard to locate them either or to get them to hunt with you once found as you drive (as long as you know how to get their attention without scaring them off which isn't difficult if you have a little patience)
ReplyDeleteVery beautifful birds and amazing photos, greetings from Poland!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos. A friend of mine owns the pub in Leire, where everytime I've visited i've only ever caught a glimpse of them flying over my van. I'm yet to capture a shot of a barnie in that area.
