Hi and welcome to my Blog, my name is Paul Riddle and I live in south Leicestershire, UK. Back in August 2007 my quest began to locate as many local Little Owl territories as possible. The driving force was a reported decline in the uk numbers so I thought I would do my bit and conduct a study in my area. After 7 years and countless hours out in the field I have detected over 200 different sites. With a thirst for a greater understanding of the owls a more comprehensive monitoring and nest box programme then commenced. This also now includes monitoring the local and very sparse population of Barn Owls, please pop back occasionally and catch up with the life and times of my owls and any other wildlife that I come across. I hope you enjoy your visit!!!

Bloody Horrid!

Drab, gloomy, grey, drizzly, dank, damp, dark, dingy, grim, dismal, depressing, or just good old fashioned dam miserable, what ever descriptive is used they all individually or collectively describe it! Yes I am talking about the weather of late, not good for viewing SEO's let alone managing an image!

I did however give it a go, sadly these are the best I could manage...........

I thought the sun was suppose to shine on the righteous, well I'm righteous all right.....so where is it?

  1. Love that last one Paul!! Certainly worth braving the weather for, and it probably kept the bees away!

  2. Oh dear the best you could do , I suppose they will have to do then . Not jealous at all grrrrrrrrrrr.

  3. They are fantastic! "The best I could do!" I'd be throwing a 'Look at my SEO Pictures' party if I took these! The twisty, turny 3rd one is my favourite from this sequence. Bravo and Encore!

  4. Ok I've got the message, I have to agree now I've had a second look they are ok, don't get me wrong though I wasn't trying to be over fussy! Its just that I still haven't got the "full frame" image I'm after in good light. Thank you for your commmets anyway guys.
